Welcome to COLORS, where we believe in nurturing children's well-being through the transformative power of play, movement, and mindfulness.
As someone who faced challenges with depression and anxiety during her teenage through young adult years, Miss Emma understands firsthand the importance of equipping children with tools to navigate their emotions.
COLORS was born from the belief that learning to regulate our nervous system is fundamental to leading a balanced life. While adults often learn these skills later in life, imagine the resilience we could foster in children by empowering them early on. Through fun and engaging yoga practices, we teach mindfulness, emotional awareness, and the ability to shift from racing thoughts to a grounded connection within their bodies. By practicing these skills, children gain a deep understanding that feelings are transient and manageable.
About Us
Movement is one of the most powerful ways to process emotions. By tuning into their breath and moving through playful yoga poses, children learn how physical activity can help them release stress, reset their minds, and calm their nervous systems. We emphasize that feelings are temporary, and with practice, they can be understood, managed, and even welcomed as part of life’s natural flow.
Our programs are designed not only to introduce kids to yoga but to equip them with lifelong skills for emotional well-being. We’re here to support parents and educators in laying a strong foundation for the future generation—where every child feels empowered to navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence and a deep connection to their body’s wisdom.
Join us at COLORS as we inspire children to flourish, building a brighter, more resilient future—one breath and movement at a time.
My journey with yoga began as a teenager in search of a way to cope with severe anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. Later, while studying at Truman State University with the goal of becoming an anesthesiologist, I faced intense pressure to excel, which took a significant toll on my mental health. Recognizing the urgent need for change, I took a leap of faith and went to Bali for yoga teacher training.

There, I learned valuable techniques that not only alleviated my panic attacks but also significantly improved my mental well-being. Although I started teaching adults, I soon realized my passion was in working with children. My ten years as a professional nanny allowed me to observe firsthand how stress impacts young minds. This led me to integrate yoga into my caregiving, discovering its powerful effects on kids' emotional regulation and confidence. Now, with specialized training in kids' yoga, I’m thrilled to launch my own kids' yoga business, dedicated to helping children navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-awareness.
